Privacy policy
Welcome to the website of Laupheimer Brewery Hotel and Restaurant. Our website is intended for the presentation of information about our company and services and to enable you to make bookings in our hotel or to buy vouchers for our hotel’s services. In order to let you know what happens to your personal information, we would like to explain how we use it and what decisions you can make concerning the collation and use of your information.

1. Data collection and use
1.1 When you visit our website, our web servers temporarily capture technical details about the device from which you are visiting our website, for example: the browser type, the operating system, and the device settings. We also capture your IP address and, if you are using e.g. a mobile phone to call up our site, its Unique Device Identifier. Our web server also collects certain information which is automatically transmitted by your web browser program. This includes the name of your internet service provider, the address of the website you are visiting, the page(s) that you are visiting within Laupheimer Brewery Hotel and Restaurant’s website, the date, time and duration of your visit.

1.2 Our website is also an information platform which we use in order to respond to your enquiries. To make this point of contact a bit more personal, you can choose to give us your name, address and e-mail address on the contact form. It is of course possible to request information without giving your personal details and/or using an anonymised e-mail address.

2. What we use your information for
We use your personal information to enable you to visit our website, to answer enquiries, and to generate anonymous usage statistics from automatically transmitted data (see Section 1.1). These enable us to understand how our website is used and to improve it according to need and target group. We also store and use your information so that you can derive optimum benefit from our website. This includes, for example, developing and providing new services which are tailored to your needs. With your consent, we also use your personal information for advertising purposes, such as to send you newsletters or brochures.

3. Sharing of your information with third parties
We only share your information with third parties if we are authorised to do this.

3.1 We will not share your personal information with third parties without giving you prior notice of this and, where necessary, obtaining your consent.

4. Cookies
We use cookies on our website. The main purpose of this is to create a more pleasant and individual experience when you visit our website.
4.1 Cookies are small, often encrypted text files which are stored by your computer browser. Cookies enable us to identify you as a particular customer and to save your personal preferences, and also some technical information, when you use our website. The main advantage of this for you is that you do not need to re-enter the information contained in the cookies every time you visit our website. Cookies do not in themselves necessarily contain or reveal personal information. However, if do you enter personal information on our website, this can be linked to the information stored in the cookies. However, providers of other websites have no access to these files.

4.2 We also use Google Analytics for our website. This is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. which generates detailed statistics about a website’s traffic and about the sources of this traffic. We use Google Analytics exclusively for statistical purposes: for example, in order to find out how many users have clicked on information about a particular product. Google Analytics is based on Cookie technology and captures information about your use of our website, including your IP address. In order to prevent user identification via your IP address, we have implemented a special code which ensures that your IP address is only captured in abbreviated, and thus anonymised, form. Identification of individual users is no longer possible via this abbreviated IP address. The information captured by Google Analytics is transmitted to Google Inc., based in the USA. If you do not wish this to happen, you can prevent the capture and transmission of this information to Google Inc. by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4.3 The basic settings of most browsers enable cookies to be accepted. You can change your browser settings to completely disable the use of cookies, refuse the setting of certain cookies or receive notification every time a cookie is set. You can find further information on these settings, for example via the “Help” section in your browser’s menu. Since, for example, the login function for your customer account is based on cookie technology, it is possible that some areas of our website will not work properly if your website is set to disable cookies.

5. Your rights
5.1 You can contact us at any time by e-mail or telephone to view, delete or update the information we have collected via this website. You can find our contact details at the end of this policy and in the imprint. Please contact us likewise if you have any further questions about the information we have stored about you or its use.

5.2 If you request that your information be deleted, it will be immediately removed from our systems, unless we are obliged to retain your information, e.g. for reasons of tax or commercial law. If this is the case, we will ensure that your information is blocked for any other use.

5.3 If you have consented to the use of your personal information for advertising purposes, you can revoke your consent at any time. You can also contact us at any time to refuse permission to use your information for advertising purposes.

6. Links to other websites
Our website contains links to other websites run by third parties, including social networks such as Facebook. This privacy policy does not apply to the collection, processing or use of personal information by such third parties. Please note that we cannot assume responsibility for the contents of third party websites, nor for their adherence to statutory data protection requirements. We therefore recommend that you check their privacy policies.

7. Changes to this privacy policy
Should there be any changes to the contents of this privacy policy, you will find them on this page. So that you always know what information we collect and how we use it, we will also retain older versions of this privacy policy here, including their period of validity. We will also give you due notice of any changes and, where necessary, give you the opportunity to renew or revoke your consent to the storage and use of your information. We will never use the personal information you have provided in any other way than as mentioned above without giving you prior notice and first obtaining your consent.
